Picnic Area Fees:

Members: Free up to 15 people. See details below. Lifeguard fees may apply.

Anyone under 18 will need an Adult Member present. Children under 18 are not allowed to be dropped off and left unsupervised by an adult for any period of time.

Non-member: $4/person, no minimum number of people; lifeguard fees may apply.

Olympic Lutherhaven has a wonderful picnic area, which includes a sandy beach, swim raft, large lawn for games or picnicking, large fire pit with wood provided, many water craft for use (including paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, and sail boats; life jackets available and are required to be worn), covered barbecue area, a large, covered picnic space with picnic tables, a play ground, bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Dogs, fireworks, smoking, vaping and alcohol are strictly not permitted.

The picnic area is available for members and their guests  (guests must be with a member) to visit from 11am-dusk (before it gets dark) every day between Memorial Day and Labor Day, except for Sundays, which can be reserved for group picnics and events. The picnic side can accommodate up to approximately 125 people, but parking is limited. We are closed on July 4h every year.

Reservations are required for any group event/function (i.e., birthday parties, etc.) consisting of 15 or more guests. The event/function organizer must complete and submit a picnic side application form to the Caretaker at least 2 weeks in advance of the desired date of the event/function. The application must be approved by the Caretaker in order for the event/function to take place. No group event/function can close Olympic Lutherhaven to members during these times. All Olympic Lutherhaven policies and rules must be followed.

Group events  consisting of more than 15 people will require the purchase of Event Insurance (Certificate of Insurance). Guests have obtained insurance previously from these websites:

Important information about swimming during Events/ Functions:

All children swimming in the water from Olympic Lutherhaven must have a responsible adult present and watching children at all times. Sitting up in the pavilion while supervising children is not allowed as it is too far away and isn't within safe eye sight.

During group events/functions, use of the lake for swimming and/or boating can only take place with an appropriate number of Olympic Lutherhaven approved lifeguards on duty. Lifeguard requirements are: 10-30 attendees- one lifeguard, 31-60 attendees- 2 lifeguards.

Use of boats requires a designated monitor (21+) responsible for checking boats out and in at the end of the event/function.
